Golden, Colorado Real Estate and Relocation Information
Golden
is a town tucked away in the western foothills 15 miles from downtown
Denver, the County Seat of Jefferson County, and home to world famous
Coors Brewery and the Colorado
School of Mines. The town has a quaint feel, with many old Golden
Victorian homes close to the downtown area, and a main street straight
out of the old West.
It was settled in the mid-1800s by gold-seekers moving west, having
earlier been frequented by the Arapahoe, Ute and Cheyenne. Golden
is situated at the mouth of Clear Creek Canyon. Coors makes use of
the mountain creek to make its beer.
Golden continues to maintain its old west feel, thanks to the historical
